Batbout – Moroccan Bread

wp-1489616156391.jpgA very delicious moroccan bread I first ate in marrakech…

  • 500gr flour
  • 200gr semolina
  • 2 Pack dry yeast
  • 1tbsp salt
  • 1 pinch sugar
  • some hot water
  • some olive oil

Mix all ingredients in a bowl and knead the dough well. Let double its size for min 1hr.

Knead the dough again in some semolina and quarter the doughball. Roll it (should be around 2cm thick) and with a fork make some holes in the batbout.

In a little bit oil and medium heat bake the bread for about 5mins.

Now it can be stuffed with whatever is wished, enjoy it without anything … or maybe a little butter
